Hi Gary, thanks for reading! The car was listed in an online classified ad and I just so happened to be hunting for a new project car. I wasn't explicitly looking for a classic wagon at the time, but I have wanted one since I was a teenager. When I was 15, Hot Rod Magazine did a series of stories on a 1965 Plymouth Fury station wagon project car that they put an 540ci (8.4 liter) V8 in. Since then, fast wagons have had my attention. I knew it was going to be a project as it had been sitting in a carport on a rural property for over 30 years, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the body was in great condition and that it had some killer factory options (like the big block V8). Two days later I came back with a friend and a truck and we towed it home!
Oh am I excited for a burnout day at the drag strip. I’m thinking of dashboard trophies to make for when the wagon is complete!
Mauricio, I know nothing about cars but love this story and actually understand a little. I wondered how the car came into your possession.
